On March 15, 2024, Language Lab (Dept of English), Dronacharya Government College, Gurugram, organised a session on Soft-Skills and Personality Development under the patronage of principal Shri Ghanshyam Dass.
The session began with the address of principal sir where he shared his thoughts on the importance of learning skills like time-management, leadership, prioritising tasks etc. Thereafter, Ms. Smriti Sharma, Incubation manager at Incubation Cell, SACC, Gurugram delivered a lecture to familiarise students with the key aspects of soft- skills and PD.
She explained them the importance of having strong and effective communication skills to excel in various fields of life.
She also highlighted the importance of having ‘S.M.A.R.T Goals’ and discussed ways of achieving them with the help of a ‘Vision Board.’ She motivated students to become a member of the 5AM club to lead a successful life.
The event was highly appreciated by Ms. Medhavini Yadav(incharge) and Dr Pallavi Saxena and other faculty members. Around 70-100 students attended the session where they learned how to shape and refine their personality to be the best versions of themselves.
Overall, it proved to be a very useful and interactive event.
